The following notes concern sinkings of submarines from which survivors nave been able to report possible and definite causes of the disasters and which -seem to stress the importance of escape training in peacetime and war. The report includes case histories of the sinkings of submarines of various nations, and provides much information on escape procedures used by these countries.
